Woman of the Week – Tammi Spayde

Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.

My Passion:
My faith, my family, my organization.

My Family:
Mark (kind Husband and grower of all things green), Alexandra (talented daughter in her final year of college- 21), Steven (clever son who is both generous and shrewd – 15).

My Hero or Heroes:
“There is but one good; that is God. Everything else is good when it looks to Him and bad when it turns from Him.”
~C.S. Lewis

My Escape:
A solitary drive on a sunny day.

My Pet Peeve:
Traffic.

My Indulgence:
Pizza and peanut M & M’s.

My Roots:
Are found in scripture, family, close friends.

My Future:
Certain.

My Favorite Quote:
“Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.”
~Corrie Ten Boom

My Accessory:
Lipstick and a smile.

My advice to Young Women:
Comparisons steal our joy and creativity. In a world dominated by facebook likes and air-brushed images, we feel pressure to be perfectly accomplished, perfectly thin, perfectly unblemished. None of it is true. Throw away comparisons. You are wonderfully made. Resolve to follow your unique journey.

How I Balance it All:
Each day involves choices. One day it all feels perfectly aligned and the next is chaotic. I combine my work and personal calendars so I have a full view. Leaving margins in my day helps me address the unexpected. When I am frazzled, I think of three things for which I am thankful.
