Woman of the Week ~ Jennifer Fredritz

Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.

My Name: Jennifer Fredritz

My Current Job/Company: Director, Creative Strategy | TENFOLD

My Work: Finding special seeds of inspiration to spark creativity, fostering the development of emotive designs and empowering designers to achieve their highest potential.

My Passion: Mentoring people, creating experiences, living empathically.

My Family: Ben (husband), Bella (15 year-old daughter) and our four cats – Daisy, Baby Cat, Chicory and Josie.

My Hero or Heroes: My heroes are humble – my brother, Gary, for his philosophies and guidance; my sister, Susi, for her heart and love of animals; my parents, Ruth and Joe, for loving and supporting me unconditionally.

My Escape: Any kind of travel experience, especially a beach destination. At times, my couch or bed feels just right.

My Pet Peeve: Negative attitudes and rudeness.

My Indulgence: Salty snacks and wine.

My Roots: Unique. I have a mixed-up ethnic background (Korean and German roots) and was adopted by my grandparents so I grew up among an older generation in Columbus, Ohio. These experiences have given me many gifts.

My Future: Experiential, optimistic and focusing more on being in the moment.

My Favorite Quote: “May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.” (Nelson Mandela)

My Accessory: I keep it simple – a bag that fits my mood, select jewelry and a cat by my side.

My Advice to Young Women: Don’t look back, look forward especially regarding the choices and decisions you make. Looking back and questioning yourself erodes confidence and steals your precious energy that could otherwise be used toward being inspired and creative.

How I Balance it All: I Listen to my inner voice. The definition of balance changes and evolves so I listen to my mind and body, whether that means to lean in or sit back. Taking time to plan, organize and prioritize help keep things humming along.
