Woman of the Week ~ Julie Oberholzer

Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, and some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.

My Name: Julie Oberholzer

My Current Job/Company: Lactation Consultant and Co-Owner of Nurture Columbus

My Work: Nurture provides in-home lactation and infant developmental services to families in Franklin and surrounding counties. It is our goal to support families in reaching their feeding goals.

My Passion: Creating and growing ways to be a better business owner, my family, and seeking adventure.

My Family: My husband, Marcus, and our three kiddos – Maya (11), Dane (8), and Josalynn (7)

My Hero or Heroes: The women who went before me to forge a path for Lactation Consultant to be a career – thank you!

My Escape: Being in nature, going on hikes (I especially love exploring National and State Parks)

My Pet Peeve: Avoidance of open communication or my kids leaving trails of stuff around the house

My Indulgence: Hot baths, herbal teas, chocolate, wine.

My Roots: Rural Ohio, family centric, hard-working

My Future: Continue to create and grow, prioritizing ways to spend quality time with my family and give back.

My Favorite Quote: “For there is always light. If only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” -Amanda Gorman

My Accessory: Stud earrings and an old school analogue watch.

My Advice to Young Women: (1) Know your value and don’t be afraid to take space (2) Be ready to pivot: look for Plan B, C, and D, when Plan A doesn’t work (3) Lift up other women and minority led businesses. There’s strength is numbers!

How I Balance it All: I’ve learned to outsource what I can and prioritize the things I value most (family dinner, bedtime cuddles, getting in nature, etc).
