Woman of the Week ~ Lindsey Barbara

Here at Executive Elements, we like to feature fantastic women we think you should know. Some of these women are clients, some are friends, some are women we’ve only just met. But they all have this in common: they are dynamic, interesting women who have agreed to share with us their insights and secrets to success.

My Name: Lindsey Barbara

My Current Job/Company: CEO, Chief Brand Strategist/Lindsey Barbara, LLC

My Work: I’ve built a boutique branding company focused on building impactful self-speaking brands, and creative solutions for wellness & lifestyle entrepreneurs.

My Passion: My family and all things wellness!

My Family: Ignacio (my amazing husband and business partner)

My Hero or Heroes: Life has blessed me with many heroes. My heroes come through my life journey and experiences. These heroes are the many people that have helped me to be the woman I am today. Thanks to them, I have learned to emulate some of the best values of gratitude I practice today. I also have heroes that have impacted my life in a not so positive perspective. These heroes have been the light to what I do not wish to repeat for myself or others. I found these heroes to be the flowing river water that smooths the rocks down streams. The homogeneous mixture of these heroes + resilience + gratitude have made the amazing woman I am today. And to all of them, I always give thanks!

My Escape: The beach, beautiful, peaceful Maine (where I got engaged!)

My Pet Peeve: Not making the bed first thing in the morning to start the day on a positive note.

My Indulgence: Wellness; an organic, fresh picnic on the beach.

My Roots: Resilience, determination, hard work.

My Future: The future is something that I am building and working towards while I am living in the present moment; each and every day I am working towards a better version of myself.

My Favorite Quote: “She was beautiful, but not like those other girls in the magazines. She was beautiful for the way she thought. She was beautiful for the sparkle in her eyes when she talked about something she loved. She was beautiful for her ability to make other people smile, even if she was sad. No, she wasn’t beautiful for something as temporary as her looks. She was beautiful, deep down to her soul.” –Unknown

My Accessory: My smile and charisma.

My Advice to Young Women: Also follow your heart, which is your true compass, no matter what. Go for what you want regardless of what others say. Take care of where you live, which is your body, the only place that you will ever truly live in.

How I Balance it All: By following my core values, I am able to mindfully prioritize and confidently know what is best for my life, body, mind, and soul.
