My Name: Tammy Wharton

My Current Job/Company: President & CEO of Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland

My Work: Our mission is Building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. My job is to oversee all the logistics to make this happen from operational elements to board governance.

My Family: Allyson (Daughter), Austin (Son)

My Hero or Heroes: My parents. (Frank and Susan Hunt) They taught me about hard work, determination, selfless love, and the importance of family.

My Escape: Traveling abroad or anywhere with a beach.

My Pet Peeve: Entitlement and people okay with status quo.

My Indulgence: Wine.

My Roots: Country girl upbringing with close family.

My Future: Bright, forward thinking and impactful

My Accessory: Girl Scout pin, of course! And Girl Scout cookies.

My Advice to Young Women: Don’t be afraid to F.A.I.L. because FAIL really means first attempt in learning!

How I Balance it All: Planning, lists, family, friends and taking time for physical, mental and emotional self-care.
