My Current Job/Company: Nursing Director at The University of Kansas Health System

My Work: With my counterpart, Betsy Wagner, I oversee 23 acute/progressive care inpatient nursing units. My time is spent supporting and developing Nurse Managers, working with teams to facilitate patient safety initiatives, collaborating with divisional leaders to manage and troubleshoot the challenges of day to day operations in a 800+ bed hospital.

My Passion: My faith, my family, my friends.

My Family: Jason (Incredibly Supportive Husband), Reagan (Bright and sweet Daughter- 9), Noah (Hilarious and lively Son – “almost 8”)

My Hero or Heroes: My parents. (Bob and Jan Coats married over 40 years). Amazing role models and beyond.

My Escape: The lake with my family and friends.

Pet Peeve: Negativity

My Indulgence: Candy of all kinds 😊 and Diet Coke

My Name: Jill Lilly

My Current Job/Company: Owner, Metal Latitude Designs, LLC. We design and fabricate custom stainless steel signs and other indoor/outdoor home and business decor items. Based in Bradenton, FL, much of our product line has a coastal or nautical flare, but we do custom designs to reflect each client’s passion and lifestyle!

My Work: As a new start-up, I’m currently the sole associate of Metal Latitude Designs. I do all of the design work as well as run the day to day operations (administrative, marketing/advertising, website build and maintenance, logistics, financial). I partner with a wonderful team at All Southern Fabricators to turn the designs into reality.

My Passion: My family, friends and time spent outdoors

My Family: Lance (Wonderful Husband); Cami (Sister and Best Friend), Trish (Mom and Constant Supporter)

My Hero or Heroes: All those who have served in our military. Thank you Grandpa Dick, Dad and Uncle Lynn (along with countless others)!

My Escape: Going to the beach or taking our boat to one of the local sandbars.

Pet Peeve: Excuses.

My Indulgence: Craft beer and dark chocolate

My Roots: Happy small town upbringing. Lots of family and friends. Always able to make our own fun.

My Future: Somewhat unknown as I navigate this new adventure! Optimistic and full of fun.

My Work: I coach Moms. I help calm the crazy that life with kids can cause. I believe that it is relationship with our kids and not tricks or power plays that make lasting impressions on our kids.

My Passion: Helping families live abundant lives.

My Family: Richard (Husband), Justin (Senior Engineer -Son-33), Jeffrey (Vice Principal of School for kids with LDs -Son-30)

My Escape: Walk in the woods or in the mountains. Revives my soul to see the beauty and be in the peace and quiet!

Pet Peeve: Adults that say, “That kid is old enough to know better!” Who taught them to know better??

My Indulgence: Wine and Dark Chocolate!

My Roots: Family! Playing games, time at the Lake, and talking to each other. My parents were amazing, my siblings are my support and my sons and hubby are my reason for living and breathing!

My Future: Life really does start at 60! So much to still learn and do!

My Advice to Young Women: Be humble, be curious and ask lots of questions.

How I Balance it All: I like to remind myself, not all good things are for me to do. I also practice Sabbath and self-care. If I am not in good shape I can not take care of anyone else.

My Work: I truly am a chaos coordinator. My job changes rapidly, but my purpose and goal is to ensure that our office is running seamlessly and efficiently.

My Passion: I love finding creative solutions to problems. I enjoy knowing that people can count on me to always step up and take ownership.

My Family: My immediate family includes my husband Daniel and my very energetic daughter Katherine. However, I am close with my extended family – parents, siblings, and cousins as well.

Pet Peeve: People who don’t use their turn signal…or bad communicators in general.

My Work: Building the structural bones of the finance, HR, and investor relations arms within Forge while helping the team stay focused on the strategic plan that was set for the company.

My Passion: My family and my work

My Family: Frank (my husband and my rock in all things life), Frankie (8 yr old son – my sensitive hockey player), Miles (6 yr old son – unassumingly smart and observant), and Cooper (2 yr old son – the wild child)

My Hero or Heroes: The amazing people that have picked me up during the most difficult times in my life. You know who are you.

My Escape: Any body of water with a floating vessel – or just a quiet room in my house where I can think uninterrupted for a few minutes.

My Roots: I grew up in Cleveland with a family owned business in wholesale and real estate. My brothers and I are so blessed to have wonderfully supportive parents that always instilled the value of family and self discipline.

My Accessory: Those that know me would probably say I need help in the accessorizing department. Sunglasses maybe?

My Advice to Young Women: Follow your gut, network early, and trust yourself.

How I Balance it All: Realizing when I need help, asking for it, and trusting that sometimes other people can take care of some things better than me!

My Current Job/Company: Chief Operating Officer with the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation (CDDC)

My Work: I believe that a change in place can lead to a change in perspective. I’m fortunate that I get to live that mantra through my work on projects like The National Veterans Memorial and Museum, Scioto Mile, Columbus Commons and Scioto Greenways that have become part of people’s experiences and memories of their city

My Passion: My wonderful family and friends, my inspiring book club and my amazingly talented colleagues at CDDC.

My Family: My husband, Jonathan, who can always make me laugh, and my daughter Audrey (12) who was willing to read The Odyssey as long as I promised to learn a few TikTok dances.

My Hero or Heroes: My parents, Barbara and Don Edwards, and my grandmother, Marion Febo, who taught me that service is the best expression of love.

My Escape: My daily walk through my neighborhood and Glacier Ridge Metro Park. It provides the opportunity to clear my head, put things into perspective and dream a little.

Pet Peeve: People who are late.

My Indulgence: My friend Bridget’s chocolate chip cookies. They’re worth every calorie.

My Roots: Small town, southern Ohio girl with big city dreams. My first class at Ohio State was bigger than my entire hometown. Today, I now teach at Ohio State so my life as a Buckeye has come full circle.

My Future: I’m an optimist at heart and believe in the good in people. I am hopeful that the future will provide more opportunities to learn and grow.

How I Balance it All: Sometimes, balancing feels like a myth but I try my best by making lists, prioritizing what’s important, spending my time on the things I value and (the hardest one for me) accepting help.

My Advice to Young Women: Early in your professional career, cultivate strong and trusting relationships with 8 – 10 women who will not sugar coat it, who will show up for you during the highs and lows and who will allow you to reciprocate. Priceless.

How I Balance it All: I have to be militantly organized. Even then, I do not do it alone! My amazing family and friends have been, are, and will continue to be an unwavering source of assistance and motivation.
